The first step for us has been to determine the survey points on Flatholm island for the chosen Flora & Fauna (seagull, shellduck, spider, slowworm, wild leek, bluebell, butterfly and moth). Once we have a good idea that these are accurate, we can start to really refine the aesthetic and to ensure that we can create the lighting infrastructure to work in alignment with this. The below is the first draft of the design with all the Flora & Fauna survey points starting to come into place.

We have reached the next phase of our project where people are starting to interact with the exhibit. Some really interesting feedback is filtering back to us.
We needed hundreds of LEDS to make our interactive map work… but it was well received once we got it working.
