It is important to run a stakeholder analysis in order to understand who will be central to the project and who we will need to communicate with. A stakeholder is anyone, be it an individual or a group, that influences the success and creation of a product, service and/ or the project itself. A stakeholder analysis is about pinpointing these individuals or groups, dividing them into groups based on their levels of involvement. However, no matter the level of participation they may have within the project, all stakeholders are important, as a level of expertise or a piece of information they have may be difficult to find elsewhere. This also broadens the horizons for the project; the more people that are involved, the further interest in the project may grow, leading to bigger things in the future.
