A lighthouse traditionally warns of danger and guides sailors to land or a harbour. What if a lighthouse could warn people of air pollution? What if it could play a role in making people care about their environments? The cuboids on the image below are responsive to the weather on the island (i.e. they rotate to highlight a change). Each rotation is triggered by an update from the weather station data on Flatholm island. The sending of this data from the island to the mainland aligns with Marconi’s first radio waves.
