Can we achieve the big bold bright colours with LED lights? Can we ensure that the colours don’t bleed into one another? We have done some further experiments with backlighting the map….this time seeing how possible it would be to create hard edges between the colour zones.
Some are with an extra layer of diffusion by way of that wadding stuff you get in textiles – and some just backlit (you can tell below as the LED ‘hot spots’ are more obvious).
The divisions between the areas works well… it’s interesting how the divisions change it…. below is a behind the scenes picture – you can see the bendy divisions and the wadding stuff that has been used for extra diffusion.
